Members visited Stow Marie’s Great War Aerodrome in June to celebrate 20 years of South Woodham Ferrers u3a.
We were treated to a tour of the site by some very knowledgeable guides learning about life on the site during WW1 for the airmen.
A picnic lunch was served in the mess hall followed by our very own Find Your Voice Group who entertained us with some very topical song.
Members also had the opportunity to “have a go” at needle felting and were amazed by the figures on display.
The afternoon ended with tea and cake and free time.
