The walking group is a friendly group of u3a members who enjoy the outdoors and are always pleased to welcome new members. We meet on the first and third Friday of the month at 10am.

Most of our walks are between 5 and 7 miles and are within a 10 mile radius of South Woodham. At the end of a walk we will often visit a nearby pub for a drink and light lunch, but it is not compulsory.

We do walks at quite a stiff pace and try not to have too many stops. The terrain and weather obviously varies and appropriate footwear and clothing is recommended.
