- The group meets in the small room at the rear of the SWF Village Hall on the second Friday of each month in the afternoon.
- The August month we have an afternoon tasting in a member’s garden. At Christmas we have a meal together locally in lieu of the December meeting
- We have a charge of £25 per quarter to cover the cost of the wines with crackers and cheese at each session
- Currently we have 19 people in the group, which is an ideal number allowing for holidays and absences
- We offer a one-time visit of guests to try out, what sort of group we are, to join, or not.
- We currently taste 7 wines each session usually split between white and red and occasionally a Rose
- Last year (2024) we tasted 68 different grape varieties from 15 different countries with a bottle price point from £7-£45 a bottle. The price is revealed AFTER tasting
- We have organised for the last 2 years in October to Porto and Avignon (see photo) on 5-day ( 2 days wine tours ) and this year (Oct 2025) we plan to go to Lisbon as a base, for Portuguese wines
